Scripture Reading:
He will not shout or cry out,
or raise his voice in the streets.
A bruised reedĀ he will not break,
and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out.
In faithfulness he will bring forth justice;
he will not falter or be discouraged
till he establishes justiceĀ on earth.
In his teachingĀ the islandsĀ will put their hope.ā
Discussion Questions:
Faith is a one of the central tenants of expectation. As we live into the expectation of Jesus coming to earth once more to make all things new and right again, how can we live in quiet faithfulness to God?
Prayer:
God Almighty, it is an easy road to yell and scream about all the injustice in the world and how peopleās hearts and souls are far from you. It is a far harder road to live in faithfulness that you will come to make all things new and bring complete justice with you in your Kingdom. Give us hope and faith in you, and not in our own actions, that we may live courageous and not discouraged lives. Amen.
